The history of Classic Driver
Since we first went online in 1998, Classic Driver has become the leading magazine and marketplace for collectable cars and their surrounding culture on the Internet.

Millions of passionate and dedicated readers from around the world browse out marketplace and read our magazine in order to discover and buy the finer things in life, from high-end collector cars and vintage motorcycles to elegant yachts, rare watches, sought-after collectables, and luxury homes. Focusing on iconic products and the timeless values of quality, craftsmanship, and heritage, Classic Driver also caters to the growing global demand for tangible assets and alternative investments. Our influential magazine, with its beautiful photography and focus on the most special of cars, charismatic personalities, exclusive events, and market trends, is considered a trendsetter in the automotive world.
Before launching Classic Driver, entrepreneur Alexander Knapp Voith had already set new benchmarks for automotive style with his company Car & Driver in 1983, which customised luxury cars for affluent clients, and a larger-than-life Aston Martin, Lagonda, Bentley and Rolls-Royce dealership, built by star architect Hadi Teherani in Hamburg, Germany, in 1991.

“Each vehicle will be individually hand-sprayed, giving a bespoke feel, We tried to achieve a flat grey, but also using modern pearl pigments – greens, yellows and whites – all working together in sync. Together with the interior, the vehicle will look quite stunning.”
